There is a line here called the Tarantula Train I think, runs from Grapevine TX to Fort Worth and I think they got their steam engine refitted finally. There were running some kind of small Diesel engine for two years or so in the mean time. Its a small gauge railway or some sort, probably similar to what is in the mountains like the Durango to Silverton maybe? Not sure. I need to get out there and see the Tarantula Train while it is running. Apparently Grapevine had some springs and was one of the earliest towns that sprung up in the north Texas area. I didn't know that until I looked up the web site on it just now. You must be doing well if you still remember steam trains. My dad is 90 this year and he does, but it seems like in the 40's or 50's they started going to the wayside pretty fast, with the advent of the Diesel locomotives.
